Do you make custom engagement rings in Toronto?
Yes. La Boy Jewellers designs and makes custom engagement rings by hand in Toronto. You choose the stone shape, carat, metal and setting with our GIA-trained jeweller, Amir Gheisari, and approve a 3D design before anything is made.
Natural or lab-grown diamonds: which should I choose?
Both are real diamonds with the same sparkle and hardness. Natural diamonds are rarer and hold more traditional value; lab-grown diamonds give you a larger or higher-grade stone for the same budget. We offer both on every piece, plus coloured lab-grown diamonds and gemstones, and we'll show you stones side by side so you can decide.
How does the custom design process work?
Tell us your idea through the Design Your Piece form or a consultation. We reply within one business day with a sketch and a quote, then create a 3D design for you to approve. Only once you're happy do we cast, set and polish the piece by hand.
What metals do you work with?
10K, 14K and 18K yellow, white and rose gold, platinum and sterling silver.
Is the consultation free?
Yes. Consultations are complimentary and without obligation, in person in the Greater Toronto Area or by video call from anywhere.
How long does a custom piece take?
It depends on the design and the stones. You'll get a clear timeline with your quote, and if you have a date in mind, such as a proposal or wedding, tell us and we'll plan around it.
Do you ship outside Toronto?
Yes. We deliver across Canada and worldwide, and you can work with us entirely by video and email.
